Alan Coffee studied for his MPhil in Philosophy at King’s College London, and for his doctorate at Birkbeck, London. He then returned to King’s to teach Global Ethics and Human Values. Alan specialises in republican political philosophy and has written widely on the work of Mary Wollstonecraft and Frederick Douglass.
